What does an IEP Coach do?
What is an IEP?
An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a legally binding document designed specifically for students with disabilities who require special education services. It outlines the student’s current performance, annual goals, specific educational services, and accommodations needed to support their learning.
What does an IEP Coach do?
I’m here to be your guide through the often confusing world of special education. Think of me as your translator and supporter when working with your child’s school. I’ll help you make sense of all the paperwork, understand your child’s rights, and prepare for those important IEP meetings. My job is to help you feel confident speaking up for what your child needs – whether that’s going over test results, figuring out what services would help most, or making sure the plan actually fits your child’s unique strengths and challenges.
I’m in your corner, helping you work as a team with the school while making sure your voice – and your child’s needs – stay front and center. With a little support, this process gets much less overwhelming, and we can focus on what really matters: helping your child thrive at school.
