NorthStar was founded by Gretchen Boerwinkle, a dedicated teacher with over 20 years of experience in both general and special education.
Gretchen witnessed firsthand the struggles parents face in securing adequate support for their children, as well as the frustration that being unprepared for an IEP meeting can cause. She knew there had to be a better way for parents and their children.
NorthStar’s mission is to empower parents by providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to advocate effectively for their children. NorthStar is committed to making sure every family feels confident and informed when walking into critical conversations with schools and teachers.
